This is the case with the inside wood tray. No lead. Van Dyke Hi-Density Graphite. Eberhard Faber. Microtomic Drawing Leads. 5 1/4" X 1 3/8". Great graphics. The tray will hold six pieces of lead. One end tab is missing on the cardboard cover. The first Van Dyke drawing pencils were non-Microtomic. Microtomic was Eberhard Faber’s marketing term to describe their graphite refining process introduced in the 1930s. When the Microtomic method was adopted, the term began appearing on the reverse imprint of the Van Dyke.
