A wonderful large vintage brass Depose 11 stirrup. This was strictly a ceremonial stirrup for Spanish riders. Peruvian, South American Conquistador style. Marked Depose 11 inside. A leather strap would loop onto the bar on top, which could easily be replaced with a lighter-weight stirrup for serious riding. This one features a horse head on each side. These would have been too heavy to use as a standard stirrup. Brass with some copper. 9" long X 3 3/4" wide. The toe of the boot would fit into it. Only one. Great for display or a bookend or door stop.
