I've had this piece for a very long time. I've been unable to figure out what it is or part of. It's very lovely. There is gold and silver. A black onyx stone and a stone that looks like a genuine diamond. Not sure about that, so I've not priced it to reflect that. The confusing part is the back. It's almost like a button. I've slid a chain through the back, and this "charm" falls forward. It is not made for a necklace. I also tried it as a dangling earring. It again doesn't fall right for that. It also would not hang very well from a bracelet. It would look very nice if a stick pin or straight pin were used to secure to a lapel. It is just over 1/2" at its longest point. No markings. Another suggestion is to use a cotter pin from an old button. It would make a lovely lapel pin or a decorative top collar button. I will enclose a cotter pin from an old button I found.
