Five vintage Campbell's Soups full-page advertisements. All came from the Modern Priscilla Magazine. 14" X 10 1/4". 1923 - 1927. The four earlier ads are mainly black and white, with the one color introduced, bright RED. Note that even the gold medallion or edging around the word SOUP is still black and white. It wasn't until after 1926 that more than one color was introduced in the advertisements—an interesting note about the choice of red used by Campbell's. Many studies have shown that RED appeals to mainly women. They are the ones who shopped, so the RED and the Gold on their labels were very appealing to the women shoppers. There is one small tear on the Dec. 1923 ad page. Otherwise, all the pages are in very good condition. They will be shipped in a mailing tube.
