An absolutely beautiful piece.  This is a handmade African Calabash Bottle Gourd. Probably Maasai.   It has been used.  Part of the leather strap is loose.  This still would make a wonderful display piece.  Beads added to personalize each gourd.  Milk or blood was carried in this to provide nourishment to herders.
