Vintage Durham Domino Straight Razor.  5 3/4" long.  A disposable razor is inserted, giving a safer shave.  This new style of the razor blade was considered to be a major technological advance in comparison to the traditional "cut throat razor".  The handle is made from an early plastic material often referred to as French Ivory.  It is given that name because the lines in the material resemble those in ivory.  Marked:  "Made in USA" and "Pat.d USA May 28 07 (1907) and in Foreign Countries".   The Durham Razor Company was founded in 1875 in New YorkThe razor blade is NOT included.   There are specific Durham blades that fit this device properly.  I only fitted the disposable blade as a demonstration. The blade is NOT included.  The vintage item is in very good condition.  No chips or cracks.
