Nine antique postcards. All are churches built in the late 1800s thru the early 1900s. All sold together. Minor wear around some of the edges. Three have some writing on the back. None are stamped or postmarked.

 

Methodist Church, Adams, Mass. Some pencil writing on the back: "From EMT to Martha, July 25, 1908. This church was changed to the Holy Family Church and has now been renovated into apartments. Printed in Germany.

 

St. James Cathedral, Toronto. It was completed in 1853 and is still in use today. Minor wear. No writing on the back. Printed in Great Britain. The Valentine & Sons Publishing Co., Ltd.

 

Park Baptist Church, Utica, NY. Completed in 1888. Several churches continued to lose membership and continued to move into other churches. This church was abandoned in 1930. No writing on the back. Published by the Utica Paper Company, Utica, NY. Minor wear.

 

Polish Catholic Church, Adams, Mass. Now named St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Completed in 1902. It is still in use. Some writing in ink on the back. "This is a new church; they say it is the loveliest church in Adams." The Hugh Leighton Co. is Printed in Germany. Minor wear.

 

Congregational Church, Lenox, Mass. Now called the Church on the Hill, UCC. Built-in 1805. Still in use. F.M. Kirby & Co. Minor wear. No writing.

 

St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mount Vernon, NY. Erected in 1765. It has undergone several severe renovations and is now maintained by the National Park Service. Very good condition.

 

Grace Church and Butterfield House, Utica, NY. Built-in 1856. Next door to the Butterfield House, which was a well-known hotel. The church is still in use. Printed in Germany. Very good condition.

 

St. Thomas R. C. Church, Adams, Mass. Also called St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church. I cannot find when it was first built. There is writing on the back of the postcard in pencil: "Laura 1911". The church is currently closed. Printed by the New England Printing Co., North Adams, Mass.

 

St. John's Church, Utica, NY. Now known as the Historic Old St. John's Church. Dedicated in 1821 and is still in use today. No writing on the card. Very good condition.
